1:1 Coaching With Emma

My Approach to Coaching

Presence
Most of us are living in our stories—what should have happened, what they should have said, what this means about us. In our sessions, we slow down and listen beyond the mental noise to what’s actually here. This is where clarity begins.
Relational Awareness
Your patterns don’t just show up in your mind—they show up in the space between us. We pay attention to what’s happening right here, right now—how you experience being seen, what happens when you express yourself, and the deeper wisdom that emerges when you’re fully met.
Compassionate Inquiry
True transformation happens when we stop fighting ourselves. Together, we explore your hidden patterns, unmet needs, and protective strategies—not to fix them, but to understand them. Awareness brings choice. And choice brings freedom.
Embodied Listening
Thoughts can trick us. The body doesn’t lie. Our work isn’t just about talking through challenges—it’s about feeling into them, noticing where they live in your body, and letting the wisdom beneath words guide the way forward.
Honesty & Aliveness
I don’t follow a formula, and I won’t offer neat, one-size-fits-all solutions. I meet you where you are and walk with you as we uncover what’s real, what’s alive, and what’s ready to shift.

Our Coaching Journey Together

Who is 1:1 Coaching For? If you're here, perhaps you've already recognised some of these experiences: - Feeling stuck in repetitive relational patterns—longing for deeper intimacy, yet unsure how to break free. -Struggling with communication—no matter how hard you try, you rarely feel fully heard or understood. - Overwhelmed in difficult conversations—finding yourself either shutting down or reacting in ways you regret later. - Lost in mental loops—questioning your own perceptions, stuck in stories that don’t help you move forward. - Feeling disconnected from yourself—wondering, “What do I truly want, beneath all the layers of people-pleasing or conflict avoidance?” - Exhausted from always adapting to others—longing to express your authentic self clearly and confidently. You're likely here because you're ready to look within, to shift patterns, and to cultivate genuine change.
What We’ll Explore Together: One-on-One coaching with me isn’t about fixing you or handing you quick solutions—it’s about guiding you inward to access your own wisdom and capacity for growth. Together we’ll gently but courageously: - Identify and understand your hidden patterns and unconscious contracts that are keeping you stuck. - Uncover and bring compassion to your inner child wounds, learning how these early experiences still shape your relationships today. - Integrate honest reflection with embodied practices, inviting new perspectives, clearer boundaries, and empowered choices into your life. - Practice communicating authentically and effectively, building emotional resilience, clarity, and self-trust. - Cultivate deeper self-awareness and presence, transforming how you relate—not just with others, but profoundly with yourself. Clients I've worked with have embarked on new careers, ended or transformed relationships that were no longer serving them, and stepped confidently into leadership and self-expression in ways they previously thought impossible.
How I Work: Our work together draws inspiration from various powerful modalities, including: Nonviolent Communication (NVC)—to deepen clarity, honesty, and empathy in your communication. Internal Family Systems (IFS) & Inner Child Work—to compassionately engage the parts of you that need attention, understanding, and healing. Circling & Embodied Awareness—to practice authentic relating and presence in the moment, developing your ability to stay grounded even in challenging interactions. Yet, our journey remains deeply co-created and tailored uniquely to you—because your story, your experience, and your growth are yours alone.
How Our Coaching Sessions Flow Each session is a space to slow down, tune in, and meet yourself exactly where you are. There is no fixed formula, no pre-determined outcome—only the trust that whatever arises in our time together holds the wisdom you need to move forward. A typical session unfolds in three organic phases: 1. Arriving & Deep Listening We begin by landing into presence together. I’ll invite you to share whatever is moving through you—whether it’s a relationship challenge, a repeating pattern, a stuck feeling, or something unnamed that wants attention. Through deep listening and curiosity, we follow what feels most alive in the moment, allowing space for exploration without needing to fix or force a resolution. 2. Exploration & Embodied Awareness As we deepen into the session, we work with what is naturally unfolding. This might include: Tracking your inner dialogue and uncovering the deeper layers of thought, emotion, and need beneath it. Following the body’s wisdom, using meditation and presence-based inquiry to sense what’s calling for attention. Welcoming resistance and control patterns, meeting them with understanding instead of force. Exploring relational dynamics in real time—how it feels to be with me, how you experience being seen, and what our interaction reveals about your relational patterns. Rather than guiding you toward a pre-defined outcome, I move intuitively with you, helping to illuminate what’s already present but unseen. 3. Reflection & Integration Toward the end of the session, I may offer reflections, perspectives, or questions to deepen awareness. Sometimes, I’ll suggest specific practices to help integrate what we’ve explored into your daily life and relationships. This process is about more than insight—it’s about living differently, in a way that feels more authentic, clear, and connected.
How This Approach Works - It follows what is alive rather than imposing a rigid framework. - It brings presence to what is already unfolding, rather than chasing a “fix” or an external goal. - It reveals the deeper wisdom within you, helping you access your own clarity, rather than relying on external advice. - It is relationally aware, making space for what emerges not just in your life, but in the space between us. - There is no formula, no expectation—only the profound transformation that happens when presence and curiosity meet your lived experience.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is Relationship and Communication Coaching? Relationship and Communication Coaching is a deeply relational and presence-based approach that helps you develop self-awareness, emotional resilience, and the ability to communicate with clarity and authenticity. Unlike therapy, which often focuses on healing past wounds, coaching is about understanding patterns in the present moment and making empowered choices moving forward. Together, we explore the dynamics that shape your relationships—whether with yourself, a partner, or in leadership—so you can step into greater connection, ease, and confidence in how you express yourself.
2. Who do you typically work with? I work with individuals seeking: 🔹A deeper understanding of themselves and their relational patterns. 🔹 More fulfilling and connected relationships—romantic, familial, professional, or otherwise. 🔹 Support in navigating conflict and difficult conversations with clarity and presence. 🔹Emotional resilience and self-leadership, so they no longer feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, avoidance, or emotional overwhelm. Whether you’re single, in a relationship, or in a leadership role, our work together will help you move beyond frustration and into greater self-trust, expression, and relational ease.
3. Why don’t you offer a coaching package? I believe in long-term success AND flexibility—not a pre-set number of sessions. Our coaching is guided by what is actually needed, rather than a pre-scripted timeline. Some clients work with me for months or years, deeply transforming their relationships and self-awareness. Others may only need a few sessions for a specific challenge. If you already know that you’re only looking for a single session or a short series of sessions, I may offer a higher rate of £95 per 1-hour session to account for the focused nature of short-term work. We can discuss what feels right for you in a free discovery call.
4. What does a typical coaching session look like? Each session begins with a moment of landing together—creating space for whatever is most alive in you right now. We follow what emerges naturally, whether that’s a recurring relationship challenge, an internal conflict, or something you haven’t yet put into words. Our time together is a mix of: 🔹Deep listening & tracking inner dialogue—so you can uncover the patterns beneath your experience. 🔹Embodied presence & meditation—to connect with the wisdom beyond just thoughts. 🔹Exploring relational dynamics in real-time—noticing how you experience being seen, expressing yourself, and interacting in the moment. 🔹Uncovering core needs & shifting perspectives—so you can move from stuckness to clarity and choice. 🔹Every session is co-created, meaning there’s no formula—only trust in the wisdom that emerges when we meet our experience with curiosity and presence.
6. What outcomes can I expect from coaching? While every journey is unique, clients I’ve worked with have: 🔹Gained clarity in their relationships and transformed recurring stuck patterns. 🔹Learned to communicate with confidence and authenticity in difficult conversations. 🔹Discovered self-trust and inner resilience, no longer feeling lost in emotional overwhelm. 🔹Moved through significant life transitions—such as career changes, relational shifts, and deep personal growth. Coaching isn’t aimed at “fixing” anything—it’s about learning to meet yourself with honesty, curiosity, and choice, so you can engage with life and relationships in a way that feels deeply aligned.
7. How is Coaching Different from Therapy? Coaching and therapy can overlap in some ways, but they serve different purposes. 🔹 Coaching is about growth and self-discovery. While therapy can also do this, the focus can often be on healing past wounds, coaching helps you develop greater awareness, shift patterns, and build emotional resilience in your present life and relationships. 🔹 We acknowledge the past, but we don’t stay stuck in it. In our work together, we may explore memories, inner child wounds, or past experiences—not to dwell on them, but to understand how they still shape your present reactions, choices, and relationships. The focus is on integration and moving forward with clarity and choice. 🔹 Coaching is relational and experiential. Rather than analyzing problems from a distance, we explore what is alive in the present moment—how you relate to yourself, to others, and even to me as we work together. This awareness helps you create tangible shifts in communication, boundaries, and self-trust. 🔹 Coaching is not a substitute for therapy or medical support. While I am trauma-informed, I am not a trauma-trained practitioner, nor do I work with acute or complex trauma, clinical diagnoses, or mental health conditions that require specialized care. If you are navigating deep trauma, I encourage you to seek professional therapeutic support alongside coaching. That said, we can still work together in a way that honour your needs, ensuring that coaching provides insight, tools, and support that complement any therapeutic work you may be doing. If you're unsure whether coaching or therapy is the right fit for you, feel free to reach out, and we can explore what best supports your journey.

8. How do I know if coaching is right for me? If you find yourself feeling stuck in relationship patterns, communication challenges, or emotional overwhelm—and you’re ready to explore a new way of relating to yourself and others—then coaching may be exactly what you need. A free discovery call is the best way to see if we’re a good fit.
9. What is your approach to confidentiality? Confidentiality is a foundational part of our work together. Everything you share is held in a safe, private, and judgment-free space, allowing you to explore your inner world with full trust.
10. How Do I Use Your Sliding Scale Pricing Guide? I offer a sliding scale to make this work accessible to a variety of people while ensuring it remains sustainable for me to offer. This system is built on trust, choice, and gratitude rather than rigid pricing or expectations. Some clients pay on the lower end of the scale, others at the top, and many somewhere in the middle. This balance is what allows this system to work. How to Choose Your Rate: Rather than setting a fixed price, I invite you to reflect on these two questions: 1️⃣ How much can I comfortably afford for a 1-hour session? 2️⃣ Taking into consideration Emma’s time, skills, and the value of this work, how much would I like to offer? Now, looking at the £65 - £95 per hour range, what amount feels right for you? This is the amount you may choose to pay. If your circumstances change in the future, you’re welcome to adjust your rate accordingly. If you find that the lower range of £65 impacts your ability to work with me, I do offer a few lower fee spaces per month, please ask me if you would like to discuss this. Why I Offer This Sliding scale pricing is a practice of mutual care—ensuring that financial constraints don’t become a barrier to accessing support, while also honouring the sustainability of my work.
